A note from Lindsay on the FAN-MADE Breaking Dawn logo
[NOT THE OFFICIAL BREAKING DAWN LOGO; FAN-MADE BY PABLO COHEN OF TEAM-TWILIGHT.COM]
Hey guys, I wanted to clear something up. I posted this Breaking Dawn logo made by Pablo Cohen, our newest news-poster and resident graphics-designer. Apparently, it went viral and was EVERYWHERE with people claiming it was the real deal. The problem here is that 1) no one credited us as the source so I didn’t know the issue was going on and 2) no one bothered to read through my post where it specifically said it was fan-made by Pablo. I even heard someone went to Summit about it (which is flattering for us and for Pablo, but probably a waste of time for Summit).
I say all this to ask you to correctly source your graphics and to correctly source the artist as necessary. This confusion isn’t necessary and just gets our hopes up. And thanks to Pablo for making such a great graphic that people thought it was real. As well as for NOT tagging it because that is so ugly. Although, I think he probably learned his lesson.
One more thing: people are more than welcome to their opinions but let’s be thankful for our fan-artists instead of act like jerks about their work. They work hard on it simply for the fans. The fandom needs to be more accepting of people instead of being rude. And there has been a lot of hating on this logo and I don’t think it’s necessary.
I wanted to clear that up and give credit where credit is due. I actually posted it a couple of times several months ago, so it’s a wonder it is only just now getting any notice!

A note from Pablo:
Hi, it’s Pablo, also known as Cohen. I am extremely flattered of a few things:1.) My logo was considered official2.) As Lindsay mentioned, Summit was supposedly contacted3.) My logo is now everywhere. But I am deeply saddened of the way this has gotten out of hand, first of all, websites claiming it’s “the real thing” without even citing sources, second of all, not being credited. There is a reason I do not tag/watermark my artwork, and that is because I hate watermarks. But I guess there is no other choice. Then, those rude comments. I know it’s not perfect, it’s not even close to it, but you can keep those nasty “that is a terrible job at Photoshop,” “Every good graphic designer knows the techniques he used are the basics” comments. So, again, I am sorry for all the confusion I caused, and thank you all who were nice and admired my work. Some of the sites that used my logo:BackSeat Cuddler (which ASSURES it’s official. I’m sorry, it’s not. I really am.)
So maybe Pablo can get a job working for Summit?? What do you think? lol
Have a tip?
