Metric tweets about their ‘Eclipse’ song not receiving Oscar nom

Singer Emily Haines of the band Metric took to the band’s twitter to discuss their omission from this year’s Oscar nominees, even though their song “Eclipse (All Yours)” from the Eclipse soundtrack had been shortlisted as a potential nominee.

Our song was shortlisted for the Oscars but we didn’t make the final cut, sigh. Changing out of my gown now + heading to the studio.

Maybe just wear the gown anyway, with snow boots and a parka?

I was all set for a makeover like Catherine O’Hara in Christopher Guest’s “For Your Consideration” ha ha ha

But wait..I’m nominated for NME “Hottest Woman” Award. Bam! Going up against Gaga! Hilarious existence.

Gotta love “Awards Season”. Without a sense of humor pop culture would be such a drag.

LOL! We’re disappointed, too, guys!

She shouldn't take it personally hahaha. Besides, a lot of people were snubbed for the Oscars this year. Especially Christopher Nolan, Mila Kunis, and Andrew Garfield!

Why not?! Eclipse (All Yours) is better than Neutron Star Collision (Love Isa Forever)!
BTW, at the Seattle Twilight Convention, they played the whole Eclipse soundtrack! I had so much fun at the convention!
