‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2′ soundtrack listing revealed

Yahoo! Movies posted the Breaking Dawn 2 soundtrack song listing, and looking at the artists on the list, there were a couple of surprises that includes a song from our very own Nikki Reed along with her husband Paul Mcdonald.

According to Yahoo! :

Summit Entertainment along with Chop Shop Records and Atlantic Records are releasing the track list for the soundtrack album for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ officially here on Yahoo! Movies. And Green Day, the five-time Grammy Award-winning punk trio, are contributing a song to the series for the first time.

So how did Green Day get involved in the hugely popular vampire romance? Mike Dirnt, bassist for the band, told Yahoo!, “When we were asked to be part of the ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon, and we have always been impressed with the way the ‘Twilight’ soundtracks are so carefully curated.”

While you wouldn’t necessarily think of the guys in the band being “Twi-hards,” lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong did tell Spinner.com in 2009 that if their Broadway show “American Idiot” were to be adapted into a movie, he’d want Edward Cullen himself, Robert Pattinson, to play the lead. Armstrong said, “He’s a good actor. There’s still more to come with that kid.”

Who else is on the album?  Here’s the complete track list:

1. Where I Come From — Passion Pit
2. Bittersweet — Ellie Goulding
3. The Forgotten — Green Day
4. Fire In The Water — Feist
5. Everything And Nothing — The Boom Circuits
6. The Antidote — St. Vincent
7. Speak Up — POP ETC
8. Heart of Stone — Iko
9. Cover Your Tracks — A Boy and His Kite
10. Ghosts — James Vincent McMorrow
11. All I’ve Ever Needed — Paul McDonald & Nikki Reed
12. New For You — Reeve Carney
13. A Thousand Years (Part Two) – Christina Perri
14. Plus Que Ma Prope Vie — Carter Burwell

Love that Feist is on there, more Christina Perri and so cool that Nikki and Paul got to have a song on it too. Sucks it won't come out until the week the movie comes out, I've really enjoyed listening to the soundtrack for a week or more before the film comes out to try and figure out where I think the songs will be

no MUSE!!!!! very disappointing, they deserved to finish along with The Saga

    from beginning to end

Seems like getting on a Twilight soundtrack is better standing than winning on American Idol, or America's Got Talent. You go further. lol!

I just checked about three of these songs on Youtube…so don't expect to 'hear' any of them. The list is announced, but you can't hear the songs yet. (A vague exception to the Passion Pit song: you hear girls screaming in the background of a Target store while they showed the sneak preview. So, really, it's crap audio. ; p

Actually, it's the Iko song where you could only hear girls screaming, lol. The Passion Pit track was at the beginning of the 7-minute clip at Comic-Con.

Muse wasn't there in BD-1, and a while ago, they claimed to have “sold their soul to Twilight.”

…Why are you surprised that they're not on the soundtrack this time?

  • Girlink

did not know they had said that, besides Muse is a power band. Their music is perfect now because its all about vampire power!!

I did a quick search and found that statement but I can not read because I'm on my iphone, so, as soon as I get out of this train right into my lap,
